The Book of James

The Book of James: A fiery exhortation, inviting humans to live with wisdom and endurance in the world. James paints a picture of a life teeming with meaning, declaring that we are most alive when doing the things of faith. James acknowledges that the human experience is full of trials and hardships, but sees all of these tribulations as opportunity to develop endurance and teleios: a Greek work meaning completeness, perfection, full of integrity. May we let wisdom disrupt our lives and be a beacon for how we treat one another; and may it move us into a life of faith—filled with action.
